An enthusiastic and determined group of SH students have been giving an “X” new meaning. For the past few months, the bowling team perfected their skills at Wolcott Lanes. The team practices twice each week and scrimmages other high school teams. On Saturday, March 5th, the team tested their bowling skills against 39 other teams from across the state. Both Sacred Heart teams bowled well with one team finishing in the top 15. The finish is a major accomplishment for our bowlers considering that many of the competitors have league and tournament experience. The team is coached by Mr. Ken Gemmell who is a long time bowler and Mr. Kevin Gemmell who is a long time bowler as well as a USBC certified coach. Next up for the team is an individual tournament to be held on March 19th at Fairfield Lanes. Good luck to our bowlers as they finish their season.
